Katie Grady, Camp Director

Toby Grady, Camp Chaplain

Toby and Katie Grady have served together as Camp Evergreen Leadership since 2002.  Toby serves as the Camp Chaplain and Katie is the Camp Director.

Katie and Toby are both natives of Atlanta and graduates of Westminster and Milton High School respectively.  Katie grew up as a member of Northside United Methodist Church.  After attending Duke University and getting a Masters Degree at the University of Georgia, and while engaged to Toby, Katie accepted the summer position of Camp Evergeen Director in 1999, the camp's first summer of operation.

The Grady's married in 1999 and moved to Portland, Oregon so that Toby, a University of Georgia graduate, could pursue his Masters in Divinity at Multnomah Biblical Seminary.  Katie taught music in the public school system during this time.

The Grady's were employed at a Cub Scout camp in Oregon for one summer, then accepted positions at Camp Evergreen for the following summer.  They've been a part of the Camp Evergreen ministry ever since!

In 2003, the Grady's moved to Boone, North Carolina, their current home, where Toby began Trail Student Ministries, a campus ministry at Appalachian State University.

Over the years the Grady family has expanded to include Jacob Sarah Grace and Stephen, the unoffical camp mascots.

The Grady's have a passion for seeing the Lord revealed to kids and families through the beauty of creation and the fun and fellowship of camp life!
