Camp Evergreen is Northside Methodist’s overnight camp, located on the shores of Lake Burton near Clayton, Georgia, approximately two hours from Atlanta. It is our goal to give campers of all ages both a meaningful outdoor experience and the opportunity to grow more firmly rooted in God’ love. Each summer, we offer weekly kids’ camps as well as weekend camps for the whole family. In addition, we offer two mission camps made possible by scholarship donations.
During our Kids' Camps and Mission Camps, campers sleep in rustic cabins complete with bunk beds and a full bathroom. Each cabin houses no more than eight campers, one high school age counselor-in-training, and at least one college age counselor. All of our staff have been through extensive training and are equipped to lead in all areas of camp life. In total, we have no more than fifty campers per session, which gives the staff the opportunity to develop significant relationships with each child. This personal attention makes Camp Evergreen a wonderful place for the first time camper!
Family Camps are an incredible opportunity to give the entire family the summer camp experience. All ages are welcome! Many families come to pick up a child from one of our weekly camps and stay on for the weekend. Reserve a cabin for your family and spend the weekend basking by the lake or taking part in any of the optional activities like family arts and crafts, a trip to the natural rockslide, or a sunset lake cruise. Space is limited to 9 families per weekend, so register right away!
