Seedling sessions are designed to create experiences for younger campers to “dig in” to overnight camp—especially those who aren’t quite ready for a full week away from home. Just as tree seedlings should be planted in fertile soil and given plenty of water to develop strong roots, these 4-day campers experience the perfect opportunity for becoming “rooted” in faith and the summer camp experience.

From the waterfall hike to chapel and the blob, all the traditional camp activities are packed into four exciting days. Many campers begin as overnight “seedlings,” but as they grow to love Camp Evergreen they begin to build the confidence to spend more time at camp in the future.

Designed to truly immerse kids in the life of camp, Alder is our 7-day overnight camp program. Alder trees thrive particularly along streams of water, just like those described in Psalm 1 who are “like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season.”  

These sessions have it all—between daily morning worship and evening chapel services that nourish and foster connection with God, plus the full gamut of traditional camp activities, time spent in nature and crazy evening Wild Time games, campers have the time of their lives!

• Standard Rate (register after February 1) — $1,200, or $1,285 with horseback riding add-on.

Our 7-day wilderness-intensive program—Alder Adventure—will be offered twice in 2027! Paired with all of the classic camp traditions and faith-building moments, these campers will spend even more time in nature with creek walking, wild-plant foraging, campfire cooking, woodworking, hidden waterfall hiking and exploring off-property sites—including a kayaking trip on Lake Burton, as well as team-building and problem solving challenges.

Sequoia is designed for our oldest, tenured campers. As the world’s most massive tree, a Sequoia is nearly indestructible, able to survive damaging winds, fire and insects because of its thick bark. With the competing noise of this world, our desire for our Sequoia campers is to learn to stay rooted in their faith, no matter what obstacles they face.

Over the course of two weeks, these campers truly unplug, spend time soaking in nature, connecting with God and experiencing all that camp has to offer—while adding unique experiences and epic Theme Days like Evergreen Survivor, Super Saturday and our Mystery Day Trip.
